The University of Nashville's Chancellor
Residence around 1890-1900. This Home was on
the campus and located just inside the Lindsley
Ave. entrance to the campus.
The original Chancellor's home on the University of
Nashville Campus around 1864. This was the home of Dr.
Phillip Lindsley, one of the first leaders of the University.
When the new Chancellor's Residence was built, the home
was used as faculty and dormitory housing. It was used
during the battle of Nashville to house hospital facilities for
the Union Army. This home stood where the present
Howard High School Office Building now stands. Another
